Bude Lifeboat Weekend - August
The August Bank Holiday weekend welcomes the Bude Lifeboat Weekend. The event features live music, search and rescue demonstrations include Helo 924, disco, charity table top sale, firework display and more. A great way to spend the bank holiday weekend.
Bude Shoreline Triathlon - 30th June
The Bude Shoreline Triathlon has been running from Summerleaze Beach since 1991. Welcoming competitors from absolute beginners and first time triathletes, right through to national team athletes. The course includes a 500m swim in Summerleaze Bay, followed by a 11 mile cycle around Bude to Widemouth Bay and back, then a three mile run through Bude and along the canal.
Jess Glynne at The Wyldes - 6th July
Chart-topping UK female solo artist, Jess Glynne, will head to The Wyldes for a unique music event just outside Bude.
Bude Jazz Festival - August
Following on from the August bank holiday festivities, the Bude Jazz Festival takes over the town. With an extensive line-up at various venues throughout Bude, there is always at least one performance happening over the four day festival.
Bude Carnival - August
Dating from 1920, the Bude Carnival takes place every year on the third Saturday of August. The Carnival includes the Variety Fete in the Castle Grounds, the Carnival Procession, and live music amongst much more.
Bude Christmas Day Swim - 25th December
The annual ‘no wetsuits’ swim is a refreshing way to celebrate Christmas. Join the locals on Crooklets beach at 11am on Christmas morning and help raise funds for the Bude Surf Life Saving Club.
Leopallooza - 26th-28th July
Leopallooza festival is a multi-award winning, grass roots music festival held in the unique event venue, The Wyldes, hidden is a wooded valley just outside of Bude. Described as ‘the greatest house party… in a field’, Leopallooza celebrates new, up-and-coming and established bands, artists and DJ’s over the three day, family friendly festival.
